How About This Crazy World...

Wow! I just have to start off saying that times are hard. Things are just really strange. For those of you who are out of state (or country- ie: Bali/Indonesia) Ga is having this crazy gas crisis bc we have additives that help with pollution and we cannot get gas. That is the gist of it- don't know details. Anyways, you have to search for gas and when you find it, it is very expensive and you have to risk running out while you wait in lines. We are not too bad in Villa Rica/Carrollton. But, Atlanta area is awful! In addition to this, money is just so tight and people are a little freaked to spend. Good time for 2 self employed people:)

Anyways, off to some happy rambling. My son, Morgan (2.5), has been on and off with being sick for like 6 wks now. He is very attached to his blanket and me and does not want to go to school. I am so ready to back in routine. On the other hand, it has been so nice to have him pay me so much attention! Lily is doing wonderful in school- she has fantastic teachers and one told me yesterday that the other teachers in the hall all say hi to her and say how much they love her! Too funny! If only they knew the h..e..l..l.. she can bring on at home:) It is like that for all kids, right???

Anyways, I have to brag, once again, that I have THE CUTEST clients ever! Here is a peek from the shoot I had with 3 yr old twins, Maddie and Grace. I really love working with 3 yr olds bc when they are not doing the "3 yr old CHEESE" they are showing their personalities. Most parents see that a misbehaving- I see great stuff through the lens! A quick note about Holiday Cards- I am adding new ones slowly, but surely! These cards are fantastic! Ask anyone who has had me do their cards or announcements. Running out of Town for a Few Days...

The whole fam is off to TN to see the BFF. We never get a whole uninterupted weekend together, so this will be great! Here are a few peeks of the FABULOUS sessions I have had this week!! Today, little Meriwether- 8 days old-3 wks early:) Awesome session!

Yesterday, 3 yr old Ava. So much fun. We had a blast running around downtown Decatur- terrific place:)

And I had fun with Jake and Sophia's fam day bf yesterday. Miracle weather, we had:)

Next up, another AWWWW! Little Caleb turned one! I think his mommy will be happy to see a smile:) Last session we had was FREEZing and Caleb did not have fun. This one was terriffic!!

How about another one year old darling? How cute is Kaleigh? We had a great time at Vines in Loganville. Actually, Vines was where I did some of my first couple client shoots like, um, about 7 yrs ago! My parents lived really close, so it brought back many memories.

Tiny Peek...

Hi everybody! As always, I am behind again! In the middle of the hectic shooting schedule I have, my youngest, Morgan, decides to get croup and throw up a couple of times bc of his fever ( I am pretty sure bc he did just devour a whole lunch with no incidents). Yea! I had to cancel a shoot today and am not able to get to the mountains of work that I have on Mondays. So, please be patient with me! I have today and tomorrow to catch back up, so I will be working on galleries, have peeks up, orders in and orders mailed. I attempted to head to the post office today, but one of the throw ups occured on the way:(

On the happy, sunny (ok, Giddy) side- I have some new friends!! Their names are Grace and Rebecca and they are newborn twins!! (Lots of exclaimation points) I went to see them and got to hold them and snuggle and change diapers. I am so proud of their mommy- she is such a champ! I have others to share, but here is one to keep you tied over while I take care of my sick boy.

Here They Are...

I know there are some people anxiously awaiting these! I am behind on posting. Scott and I were out of town last night and my parents are in from SC. I need to go help make dinner, so without further ado- your peeks!

First up, a shoot in downtown Douglasville- can you say GORGEOUS??? I had such a good time with Gabby and her parents.

Now, this adorable little girl was so stinkin cute! She is very busy and gave me lots of opportunity to do candids:) I was actually able to catch her eye quite a bit, though. They are just too cute!

Next up, 1 year old, Ella Reese. I love taking pictures of Ella Reece bc one, she is such a bright light- always just shines! And two, her clothes- too cute! (remember, her mom owns the Funky Monkey in downtown Carrollton?) we did a cake and then went outside for a quick photo shoot.

And now, my newest Baby Planner, Andrew! Andrew was a whole 9 days old when I visited him. He was also 3 wks early! What a doll

Hi Friends...

This has been a stressful week at the Pillow house! Many things to blame, but I am hanging in there. I ran into our Bud delivery guy ( for the Pub, not our house!) while strolling downtown Villa Rica today and he said, "Well, you sure are happy!" "Why yes, I am feeling much better today," I said. I have forced myself to sit on the couch and watch TV one night this week. I watched a movie with my husband one night. And today, got a coffee and ate lunch by myself downtown in the middle of my errands. Without being dramatic, I have to say that these things NEVER happen anymore!!!!! So, if I have been a little distant or slow, it is bc it has been a rough week. But- that is life:)
So, how about a little breakdown of my sessions this week?? Let's see, I met with my 6 mo old Baby Planner, Norah for a little Piedmont Park fun. Girl sported the same shoes I bought Lily (pink converse low tops!) She actually LIKES hers. Stinks for me. I just love Norah's little 6 mo old chunkies- soo cute! (Norah, I promise when you are older, I will not make comments!)
Hmmm... I met with some new little girlies. Ava and Emma's mommy and daddy drove them out to the Gold Mines for a late afternoon shoot. Light was a little low, but we did good. What adorable girls!!
I had the pleasure of seeing my highschool/college friend's daughter, Ellie this week. Ellie is now the big ONE. She seemed to really like the gold mines- thank goodness bc they live in FL and were in the middle of a long roadtrip. Ellie has
grown into a such pretty, little girl. Still a baby, but she is growing fast.

Next, I visited 7 wk old, Carsyn, and her big sis, Addison. We had a good time. It was a long shoot, so I want to thank mommy for putting up with me! The girls are just precious! Loads of fun to come in their house.
Well, I think that is all I have to share tonight. Long one!!
