Such an Odd Night...

I am having a rough night bc I just learned of the passing of an old friend/ mentor of mine. Scott is asking me, " When is the last time you saw her?" I am not sure. Maybe I was 15? Before that- 11? "Miss Beth" was a youth minister of my church growing up. I was always such an emotional wreck as a child (LOL! getting it back with LILY!) and she was always the one I and my parents turned to. Everyone that knew her was drawn to her. She was tiny with a huge smile and a big heart. She was tough, too. I remember that! She was a staple in my memories as a child. My heart goes out to not only her family, but all the amazing people who's lives she touched. I just spent time on her FB page reading all the messages that people left for her. She had a battle with cancer years back and I found out that it was cancer that took her in the end. Just crazy to know that I found her son on FB in an effort to locate her to reconnect. I should have thought to contact her sooner- so, I guess I am being philosophical. Get the message???
